Morgan appeared in Morgan was featured in a Safe Sex for Men and Women informative video about AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the proceeds went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Group. Morgan has also led numerous other fundraising initiatives to fight AIDS and also testified before the particular Congressional committee about AIDS Education. Morgan is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA and Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to substitute for him during AIDS celebrations and she's been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have made appearances on Nightline two times to talk about AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring she co-starred alongside Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started in the form of Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams also appeared. Her next project brought Morgan to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played the lead in a thriller about psychological issues that was produced exclusively for the USA Network. It received one of the highest ratings recorded in network history.
